PAOK Fan Transferred to Papageorgiou Hospital After Romania Crash

The third injured PAOK fan from the January 27 traffic accident in Romania — which claimed the lives of seven supporters of the ‘Double-Headed Eagle of the North’ — has been transferred to Thessaloniki’s ‘Papageorgiou’ General Hospital. The fan, previously hospitalized at Timișoara’s ‘Pius Brînzeu’ Hospital, was airlifted via a dedicated EKAB (National Center for Direct Aid) aircraft. The Beechcraft King Air departed Eleusis Military Airport at 08:15 a.m. and landed at Thessaloniki ‘Macedonia’ International Airport at 12:35 p.m. Upon arrival, he was transported by EKAB Mobile Medical Unit to the Papageorgiou Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in stable, intubated condition. The mission was coordinated by EKAB Northern Greece Health Operations Center (KEPY-BE), in close collaboration with Greek and Romanian Ministries of Health and the Greek Embassy in Romania, ensuring timely medical handover and safe repatriation. EKAB wishes the patient a swift and full recovery.
