He started from scratch and managed to fulfill a series of his childhood dreams in discography. He came to reject as he sings songs, because they didn’t match his image. He still remembers the thrill he felt when he first heard on the radio a success of his own. He repeats, among other things, that he is an AEK, his great love. In an interview, Panos Kyamos says: “Many times we get songs that are not for us. You need visual and experiential support for a song. I could never sing a song about immigrants. Songs have come into my hands that I knew would make a success, but they said “re Pano doesn’t look good on you.” CORVERSE “There are some songs that don’t fit my look. They said “you’re a babyface, I can’t have you say anything aggressive”. It is important that the composer and songwriter know who they write about,” Panos Kyamos said. Moved, he then described his experience with his first song “Without water I can”, released in 1998. “When I heard it, I freaked out. I say the song, it comes out in May. I’m a kid who listens to radio, I care about my songs being played. I want the songs I get to touch people and play on the radio,” he said. CORVERSE He then admitted that, as a 19 – year – old then, he eagerly waited to hear it on the radio. Despite initial disappointment, after months of agony and anticipation, the moment his song was heard was unique. “Then, I was 19 years old and I was over the radio, changing the stations so I wouldn’t miss it. A month goes by, two or three months goes by, nothing. I wasn’t sleeping, I’ve been on the radio all day,” recalls Panos Kyamos. “It’s been 4-5 months, I haven’t heard it anywhere. My uncle told me “Better not to have a song than a song that is not heard.” Where I put it, they said “what a nice song”. At some point I go to the beach and cry, I was desperate to never play the song. Suddenly I hear a station play it. At that moment it was like you gave me my whole world. Suddenly it started to sound and I was on top and I was happy, I couldn’t believe it,” he described.
