A summit victory! He was back in the score from Andrija Zivkovic goals in 2’, tied him to Fotis Ioannidis, “throwed” many opportunities and finally got the victory in the game of OAKA, with a terrible end of Unai. Panathinaikos – PAOK started with coldness for the hosts, since only in 2’ they accepted the goal from Thessaloniki. The ball stayed “live” just outside the large area of “prasine”. Zivkovic finally took the lead from Mladenović, gave Thomas and the Spaniard to Ozdoev. The Russian with a nice vertical found the Serb – unguarded in the area – and he with a nice frame made his 0-1 (7th this year’s goal). CORVERSE Both the scorer, as well as Murg, seemed to easily find the empty spaces in the rear of the “prasine” by raising PAOK in the attack. For his good luck, however, Panathinaikos was not late to find a “answer” by making 1-1 in 12″. After a deep shot by Maximovich, Ioannidis defeated Lovren in their duel, he also avoided Kotarski and sent the ball to the nets close by. Panathinaikos narrowed down the aggression of the hosts then, effectively pushing the center and at 20’ he approached a new goal. Bakasettas performed the corner from the right, Arao took the header and Gentwei with the chest sent the ball to the hearth, but Kotarski stopped him. PAOK were then found playing with the majority of his players behind the center (Babba dedicated himself to branding Teté), searching for good counterattacks, with Zivkovic being the top of the guests. Panathinaikos continued to control the race and in 35 he lost a great opportunity. After a rapid counterattack by the hosts – with Teté making a terrible individual effort – the Brazilian made the pass to Ioannidis, the Greek striker caught the shot within a large area and from a left position and sent the ball out briefly (the last good phase of the first part). CORVERSE The second half began with Panathinaikos missing a great opportunity with Maximovic’s head (Kotarski took it hard). The game continued with the players of the two teams giving many “fights”. They stood out those of John with Lovren. Croatian showed a big problem with branding the young striker. Making a big problem in development, PAOK tried to attack with deep balls, without success. Panathinaikos continued to make verticals between the Kenjiora and Lovren, seeing that there is a significant gap there. The “trifl” had the ultimate control of the race, but without the stadium… descending. In 58’, however, the “doublehead of the North” approached the goal, but saw Dragofki “put out” his Zivkovic. The balance of the game changed to 60’, with Baba fouling Vayannidis and referee showing him a second yellow card and expelling him. PAOK stayed with ten players for the rest of the match and was forced to move directly on to changes (Samata instead of Thomas and Shastra instead of Murg). Panathinaikos was clearly in control of the race. He released the ball and pushed for the win goal. Other changes were followed from both sides, with the match entering its final line (outside Tyson and Ozdoev, inside Despodov and Zvab in PAOK and outside Juričić and Arao for the hosts with Pelistri and Unai replacing them). But Rui Vitoria left Geremjev on his bench. Upon completion of a 90-minute race, the derby found its winner. After incredible energy and awesome ending of Unai, Panathinaikos reached 2-1 and took the “third”.
