Panathinaikos – Olympiacos 78-72: “Stainless” in derby with Grant, Osman and a tall

The… thousand problems “kneeled” the moulded inside the OAKA (78-72) – with great protagonists Grant and Osman – and made 2/2 in the derby “eternal” in the Greek Basketball League, which gives him a huge lead to have the ultimate seat advantage until the finals. Yurcheven left wounded. The game… Panathinaikos and Olympiacos made several mistakes in the early minutes of the derby and were missed, especially the “triflle”. Evan Fournier quickly found rhythm and—along with Fal— helped the Pirates gain a small difference. Ernangometh was the only of the hosts to have shown to have found gaps in the opposing defense (6–10 the score in the first five minutes of the match). CORVERSE The return from television timeout found Grant marking two streak three-pointers for 12-12. Yurcheven’s sudden problem (he never entered the game again), forced Ataman to throw Gabriel in the match. But Grant was amazing then, he reached three steals and helped the “trifl” pass for the first time ahead of the score and create a small difference (19-12) reaching 8 points. CORVERSE Panathinaikos then scored points from Osman, Nan and Gabriel, Grant reached 4 steals in 10 minutes and the score reached his finale in 25-14. Ataman’s team “run” partial score 16–2. The defenses of the two teams continued to stand out in the second quarter, with Grant being the only one who was… connected to the basket, putting in two more three points. Bartzokas started not getting good news from his team. Williams-Goss reached three fouls, while Olympiacos continued to be a failure—especially from the 1/11 three pointer—and seem to have… no energy. Peters was the one who with a two-series three-pointer dropped the difference (35–26). Gabriel brought another bad news to Ataman, after reaching three fouls. The only five of the “greens” went to the bench, with Papapetrou entering and playing the fives. Milutinov was powered, but found double and triple marks. 8 tithes before the end of the half Ernangometh achieved a “great” three-pointer and cut off the homeowners’ small “flagration” for the 38-30 of the half. Walkap scored his first basket in the game, in the beginning of the third period, reducing to 38-33 for Olympiacos. Panathinaikos however raised the difference again to 10, so that Vezenkov could throw it again with two baskets (43–38). Papanikolaou got… in front of the scoring, but the “trifl” found answers, with Osman scoring. Eight straight points of Vezenkov, however, brought in 56-57. But Osman’s streak points shaped the 61-57 of the third period. Williams’ terrible three-pointer… Goss at the beginning of the last period made 61–60. The game went… basket – basket, with Panathinaikos marking two streaks three points and doing 69-63. The “trifl” again found solutions from the defense and reached 72–65, forcing George Bartzokas to get time out at 4:53 before the end and throw Evan Fournier at the game. The Frenchman did not work and went out of the game, shortly after, with only 4 points.
