One day later the actress will receive the Golden Eye Award before the screening of her new film “The Last Showgirl” directed by Jia Coppola (Gia Coppola). In “The Last Showgirl”, she plays Shelley, a dancer who loses her job in Las Vegas after 30 years while also trying to restore the estranged relationship with her daughter with Annette’s help, played by Jamie Lee Curtis (Jamie Lee Curtis). “An amazing performance, perhaps the best of her career, which deserves an Oscar nomination. So we are happy to honor Pamela Anderson, this calt actress with whom many of us have grown up and who redefines herself every time, at the Zurich Film Festival,” said festival director Christian Jungen. The film’s script is signed by Kate Gersten and the cast also includes Dave Batista, Brenda Song (Brenda Song), Kirnan Shipka (Kiernan Shipka) and Billy Lourd. The Zurich Film Festival will take place from 3 to 13 October, according to Variety.
