Disturbed are the residents of the apartment building in , where in one of her, a “set” arsenal was located. Everything was revealed when the owner decided to sell the warehouse and wanted to show the place to a prospective buyer. Alarm signaled at noon on Tuesday (19.11.2024), when EL.A. received a call for heavy weapons in an underground apartment storehouse in Pagrati. Immediately at the point men of counter-terrorism and TEMs rushed. In the warehouse – which apart from the lock, a large lock was also placed – two pistols were found, an automatic gun, grenades, gelatinous, fuselage and special anfo that are raw material for bomb manufactures. According to police investigations, but also what is reported by tenants and apartment owners, the warehouse belongs to a retired army officer, who along with a parking spot had bought them 29 years ago from the manufacturer. He had never appeared in the apartment building, while at some point he had rented the warehouse. Yesterday afternoon, as the apartment manager says, the wife of the warehouse owner called and asked him if he could give her a key from the entrance. “The owner’s wife called me and told me that they want to sell the warehouse and the uncovered. And they wanted me to give them a key to the entrance” she says to newsit.gr the apartment building manager and complements: “They finally came around one and a quarter at noon and knocked on door to open up to them to go with prospective buyer to warehouse”. “They go down, it was locked the door could not enter. They brought a locksmith, they went in. They faced the guns and called the police. We hadn’t seen anyone come and go. This job must have been done years ago, because we had been opened up to us in 2017-18. The only warehouse they didn’t open was the one with the big lock” he noted. “Then I noticed the big lock he had. I was upset and scared when they told us the warehouse was full of guns. This is where my grandchildren come. I saw two vans coming for the search. Now what was inside I don’t know” he concluded. For its part, another tenant of the apartment building states that: “A lady, a gentleman and a young man came to buy the warehouse downstairs and the uncovered one. They came down to the warehouse and saw it was locked in a very strange way, not like ours with a key. They called a locksmith because they couldn’t open it and used a saw. They found in the guns.” The investigations of EL.A.’s men are ongoing, as they are looking to find out who is hiding behind the armament of the warehouse. Police officers are looking at all possible scenarios with the prevailing scenarios to revolve around old organizations or even individuals who may identify with the explosion in Abelokipi.
