PA.SO.K criticizes Mitsotakis for selective handling of institutions

in

The PA.SO.K party has launched a new attack against the government and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis following his request to be directly tried by the Justice system rather than through the Pre-trial Committee of the Parliament regarding his actions in the Tempi tragedy. ‘Do not dare to close the pre-trial committee without bringing everything to light,’ stated Kyriakos Mitsotakis back in February 2018 during discussions about forming a pre-trial for the Novartis case, as highlighted by PA.SO.K’s press representative, Kostas Tsoukalas. Yesterday, he declared via a post that there is no need for the pre-trial committee, which he just recently voted to establish. What has changed? Why does he not want the pre-trial committee to function? Why doesn’t he want witnesses to testify before it? In the Triantopoulos case, why is there no need for transparency before closing the pre-trial? This is another proof of the selective treatment of institutions by the Prime Minister and New Democracy. How many more times will Mr. Mitsotakis contradict himself? How many more times will he underestimate the intelligence of the citizens? Enough with arrogance and lies, Mr. Prime Minister. Institutions and constitutional procedures cannot be adjusted at will according to the political and communication measures of New Democracy. No matter how much time you try to gain, you won’t succeed because eventually, the truth prevails.
