The OTE Group achieved climate neutrality across its operational emissions (Scope 1 and 2), enabled 1.1 million people to benefit from digital inclusion initiatives, and ensured 100% sustainable management of its ICT waste in 2025 — key milestones under its sustainability strategy. These results are detailed in the Group’s second annual Supplementary Sustainability Information report, published alongside its main Sustainability Report.

A Strategic Commitment to Sustainability

“Sustainability is embedded in our daily operations and how we create value. Through modern digital infrastructure, energy efficiency measures, responsible resource use, and digital inclusion programs, the OTE Group actively ensures that the opportunities of the digital era are accessible to all,” said Dimitris Michalakis, Chief of Corporate Communications, Sustainability and Channel Productions at the OTE Group.

With sustainability at the core of its business strategy, the OTE Group reaffirms its long-term commitment to generating lasting value for the economy, society, and the environment. Its integrated program of commitments and actions focuses on four strategic priorities aligned with those of Deutsche Telekom Group: tackling climate change, advancing the circular economy, promoting digital inclusion, and fostering equal opportunities in the workplace.

Climate Action and Energy Efficiency

In 2025, the OTE Group reached climate neutrality for direct and indirect emissions from its operations — reducing CO₂e emissions by 80,000 tonnes compared to 2017, equivalent to the annual emissions of approximately 60,000 households. Remaining unavoidable emissions were offset through high-quality, verified CO₂ removal projects.

100% of the electricity used across the Group’s operations came from renewable sources. Energy efficiency also improved significantly: overall energy consumption per unit of data transmitted decreased by around 16% compared to 2024 — reflecting continued progress in network efficiency.

The Group further advanced its fleet electrification, operating 929 electric vehicles by end-2025 — representing 32% of its total corporate vehicle fleet.

Sustainable Infrastructure and Buildings

A major milestone was the LEED Platinum certification of the renovated OTE Headquarters in Athens — awarded in early 2026. This is the highest distinction under the globally recognized LEED green building rating system.

Circular Economy Leadership

In the circular economy domain, the OTE Group maintained 100% sustainable management of ICT waste generated across its telecom and retail networks, buildings, and data centers. Additionally, 100% of its own-branded customer premises equipment (CPEs) — including routers and TV decoders — sold or leased in 2025 were packaged using sustainable, plastic-free alternatives.
