Opinion Poll Survey: Clear Lead for New Democracy, Life Party Second – Government Criticized Over Tempes Tragedy

New Democracy remains the leading party with a significant lead in voting estimates according to the latest Opinion Poll survey presented by Action24. Specifically, New Democracy holds 28.1%, followed by the Freedom Voyage led by Zoe Konstantopoulou with 15.9%, and PASOK at 14.3%. The Greek Solution follows with a double-digit percentage of 11.4%, while KKE has 8.3%, SYRIZA 6%, Voice of Reason 4.1%, and Victory 3.1%. In terms of voting intention, New Democracy leads with 23.6%, trailed by Freedom Voyage at 13.3%, PASOK at 12%, KKE at 7%, SYRIZA at 5%, and Voice of Reason at 3.4%. For prime ministerial suitability, 25.2% favor Kyriakos Mitsotakis, followed by Zoe Konstantopoulou at 10.9%, Nikos Androulakis at 6.3%, and Kyriakos Velopoulos at 5.8%, with 33.8% opting for none. Citizens are split on whether the government should complete its four-year term (48.2%) or call for early elections (44.9%). Regarding the restructuring signaling a restart of the government’s work, 72.5% say no, while 25.4% say yes. Concerning the Tempes tragedy, 80.2% believe the negotiations sent a message to the entire political system, not just the government. A staggering 80.1% think the government hasn’t done all it could to shed light on the tragedy, with 76.1% sharing this view regarding the judiciary. Meanwhile, 80.7% believe opposition parties are exploiting the tragedy politically, and 86.4% consider the swift start of the trial important for revealing the truth. Accuracy is the biggest concern for citizens at 50.7%, followed by the economy at 29.9% and judicial isolation at 28.7%. Citizens also believe the government should focus more on accuracy (44.4%), clarifying the Tempes tragedy (22.6%), increasing incomes (12.8%), and improving healthcare (12.4%). Donald Trump’s geopolitical initiatives are viewed negatively by 60.8%, and 76.9% are anxious about Greece facing problems due to international upheavals. Lastly, 77.8% see ensuring political stability as very important.
