Staying committed to Greek society, OPAP continues to implement substantial actions that support organizations and institutions nationwide. Prioritizing vulnerable groups, OPAP recently made a significant donation in Florina by providing a dialysis machine to the General Hospital of Florina “Eleni Th. Dimitriou.” This donation is expected to enhance the level of medical care in the region. The donation is part of OPAP’s Corporate Responsibility program «TOGETHER FOR A GOOD CAUSE,» implemented with the help of OPAP network partners across Greece. The handover of the new dialysis machine took place on Tuesday, April 1, in the presence of hospital administration, medical staff, OPAP representatives, and the partner who proposed the initiative. Panos Gabriel, Director of Corporate Communication and Responsibility at OPAP, stated: “The TOGETHER FOR A GOOD CAUSE program highlights the social face of OPAP and its partners. Our partners identify social needs throughout Greece, and OPAP steps in to fulfill them. In this context, we delivered a new dialysis machine to the General Hospital of Florina.” Georgios Mantsos, Director of the General Hospital of Florina, expressed: “We are delighted to receive this donation from OPAP—a dialysis machine for which OPAP immediately accepted our request and today we have received it. It is crucial for remote hospitals like ours to receive such aid to provide better services to our patients.” The «TOGETHER FOR A GOOD CAUSE» program strengthens local community structures. OPAP’s Corporate Responsibility program aims to meet the essential needs of local communities. These needs are identified by OPAP network partners who know best the shortcomings and problems of their regions. Actions under the second cycle of the program are being implemented nationwide, providing equipment, food, and basic goods to various institutions. Last year, successful social actions were carried out in 21 regional units across the country.
