The latest data regarding the ‘Photovoltaics in the Field’ program were included by the Greek Energy Saving Fund (DEDDHE) in a document submitted to Parliament, in response to a question from SYRIZA. Specifically, DEDDHE stated that a total of 5,345 applications were submitted under this photovoltaic program, with a total requested funding of 54.7 million euros. Of these, 3,182 applications were approved, while 2,163 were placed on a reserve list. From the total, 411 applications have been completed so far, and for 54 of those, prosumers have uploaded supporting documents to the platform for verification. For the remaining 357 applications, submission of documentation is still pending. DEDDHE also clarified that the transition of applications to the pvstegi platform into a status of submission request for completion and upload of supporting documents is possible, and there has never been any technical issue. The review process has already begun, and necessary clarifications have been provided to the review team, so that correctly and fully submitted completion requests can be forwarded for disbursement, which will start shortly. Finally, it’s worth noting that the Ministry of Environment and Energy extended the program deadline until December 31, 2025, previously set at June 30, to provide sufficient time for farmers to implement, activate, and receive subsidies for their projects, allowing them to cover part or all of their consumption through photovoltaic production and reduce energy costs.
