Services Emergency Medical county Austin-Travis reported via Twitter that a woman was killed and two other women and a man were admitted to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
A fourth person was injured but refused to receive medical treatment, in accordance with suspension of service on social media.

On 7 July, a veteran of the U.S. army shot and killed five police officers in Dallas, in the most deadly day for law enforcement agencies in the united states after the attacks of 11 September 2001. About a week later, another gunman killed three police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In both cases the perpetrators were killed by the police.
