One Week Left to Submit Rental Property Declarations – AADE Decision

in

Property owners who rent out their properties have until Monday, June 30, 2025, to submit their Rental Information Statements. By the same date, tenants must confirm agreements and any co-owners must verify the submitted details. According to a decision by the AADE Administrator, George Pitsilis, after submitting the Rental Information Declaration, one of the co-owners is notified and given 30 days to accept or reject the declaration. If there’s no response, acceptance is assumed, and the submission certificate applies to all parties. Each new rental declaration is automatically sent to the tenant via myAADE for approval or rejection through myAADE, email, or the myAADEapp within 30 days. Non-response implies silent acceptance, while rejection requires justification. This process applies to all new rentals declared since June 2 and ends on June 30 for accepting older declarations and submitting terminations without penalties. The new system replaces the previous regime where tenant participation wasn’t required. Now, every agreement must be electronically confirmed by all involved parties, ending arbitrary rentals or inactive landlord practices. Until June 30, early termination of rentals that ended by April 30, 2025, can be done without the €100 penalty. All actions occur via the myAADE platform under TAXISnet (path: Applications > Tax Services > Real Estate). This digital system paves the way for activating the Property Ownership and Management Registry (MIDA), aiming for complete transparency on who rents which property under what terms with confirmation from all parties. AADE aims to eliminate fake landlords, forgotten contracts, and inaccurate declarations. Until July 15, corrections can be made to previously submitted tax declarations regarding the rental code (code 081) without penalties. For those missing the mid-July deadline, a second opportunity remains open until September 30 without sanctions.
