The highly anticipated new project from Paul Thomas Anderson, titled ‘One Battle After Another,’ now has an official trailer. This film marks Leonardo DiCaprio’s first collaboration with the director and his first leading role since ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ in 2023, which was nominated for 10 Oscars. Inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s postmodern novel ‘Vineland’ from 1990, the trailer gives a first glimpse of DiCaprio’s performance under Anderson’s direction. According to the official synopsis: ‘When their ruthless enemy resurfaces after 16 years, a group of former revolutionaries reunite to save one of their own daughters.’ Co-starring Sean Penn, the impressive cast also includes Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Alana Haim, Benicio del Toro, Wood Harris, Shayna McHayle, and Chase Infiniti. The screenplay and production are credited to Anderson, in collaboration with Sara Murphy and the late Adam Somner, who passed away in 2024. Filmed on 35mm using VistaVision cameras, the production took place in California with additional shoots in El Paso, Texas. Warner Bros. is producing ‘One Battle After Another,’ set for theatrical release on September 26, as reported by Variety.
