Twenty-two firefighters from the mountaineering search and rescue teams from the 2nd and 8th EMAC using a drone are searching for the unfortunate man’s whereabouts for a second 24 hours, in the area “Pelekodia”.
Thermal imaging with the assistance of the drone and the descents of rescuers in particularly difficult places have not brought any results.
The 35-year-old had started his ascent to Olympus on Saturday morning and was due to return on Monday morning. As he did not return yesterday or contact, his wife informed the police.
