Olympiacos FC for Tahiau statements: “We condemn any threat practice and any form of violence”

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport denounced threats from Super League FC to the Metro of Thessaloniki and FC commented on the event with an official announcement. Afterwards, Olympiacos made it clear that he condemns every threat and form of violence, pointing out that the team and Vangelis Marinakis personally have accepted UEFA’s congratulations on the organization of games and the behavior of his fans. Olympiacos FC’ announcement On the occasion of the publication of threats from a football player to a government official, for the use of fan violence, Olympiacos FC chronicly and undisturbedly condemns and stands against every form of violence in society and any practice of threat or even blackmail from violations. Olympiacos FC has been taking on information and provision activities for many years to eliminate any such phenomenon from Greek football. At the same time he has organized major home games and the movement of thousands of our fans abroad with huge success! This is why Olympiacos FC and FC President Vangelis Marinakis have repeatedly accepted the congratulations of UEFA and the competent authorities for the excellent organization of our games and the behavior of our fans. Violence has no place in the Greek Society and in our courts and this is a stable and constant position of the administration and its President Vangelis Marinakis! Olympiacos FC, in collaboration with Super League, EPO, UEFA and State, will continue to try daily without any tolerance to eliminate such phenomena of violence and threats so that fans make football and sports events, celebrations!
