Olympiacos: Disappointment after the exclusion in Bulgaria

Olympiakos received a huge shock, with the exclusion from Ludogorets, in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League.

Olympiacos failed to achieve its goal at the home of Ludogorets – in 90 minutes, the extra time and penalty – and was eliminated in the 3rd round of the Champions League.

Olympiacos will continue its European effort in the Europa League playoffs, against Slovan Bratislava. The first match will be held on August 19 at “Georgios Karaiskakis”, while the rematch will take place a week later in Slovakia.

We remind you that the last time Olympiacos was eliminated in the Champions League / Europa League qualifiers was in 2016 by Hapoel Beer Sheva.

The failure in the Champions League qualifiers is something that the “red and whites” will try to overcome quickly, something that Pedro Martins pointed out in his statements.
