According to the relevant communication, the report reflects the progress made by the company during this reference period on five key axes of sustainable development: Road Safety and Infrastructure: Olympia Street invests in modern technologies, such as Smart Tunnel and the MIRANDA diagnostic tool, which ensure that the highway operates with the highest performance standards, especially for monitoring infrastructure quality. In 2023 he implemented Great Scale and Winter Maintenance exercises and campaigns for road safety. Travel experience: Aiming at a comfortable travel experience Olympia Street introduced via the transponder Olympia PASS, an innovative mileage charging system, which allows drivers, individuals and professionals, to pay only for the distance they travel. Commited to providing quality services to professional drivers, the company created a special parking space in the Akrata, offering safe and comfortable rest conditions. At the same time, the award-winning “Water from the Air” program offers clean drinking water at 11 parking points, providing travelers with greater comfort and convenience. Environmental responsibility: Olympia Street achieved new milestones in the strategy for a zero energy footprint highway by 2030. To date he has reduced his carbon footprint by 49% from 2018 to end 2023. Today it develops 19 photovoltaic parks that will fully meet its energy needs, forming a greener way for the future. Human Resources: Olympia Street is constantly investing in the development and well-being of its human resources. It offers an equal, inclusive and fair working environment where workers are encouraged to develop their skills and capabilities, while also implementing strict safety and health policies at the workplace, which was sealed with the Health & Safety Awards 2023. The commitment to promote equal opportunities at the workplace was strengthened by signing the Diversity Charter. Social Responsibility: The highway plays an active role in supporting local communities and economies, with an annual contribution to social development (payments to suppliers, payments to fund providers, taxes paid, social investments etc.) which in 2023 reached 264m euros. Corporate Social Responsibility actions in 2023 focused on Road Safety, with schooling in collaboration with IOS, Culture, Sports and the Environment. The 2023 Olympian Road Sustainable Development Report was drafted in accordance with the international standard GRI Standards and takes into account the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the International Standard for Corporate Social Responsibility ISO 26000 and best practices of the industry at national and international level.
