Ocean Viking rescued 196 migrants off Libya

According to the International Organization for Migration, in the first half of the year, at least 1,146 people lost their lives in the Mediterranean trying to reach European shores.

Ocean Viking, the rescue ship of the SOS Mediterranean organization, has collected, in the last 24 hours, 196 migrants aboard boats off the coast of Libya, as announced by the European NGO.

According to the International Organization for Migration, at least 1.146 people lost their lives in the Mediterranean in the first half of the year trying to reach European shores.
