Nova, part of the United Group, a leading telecommunications and media provider in Southeastern Europe, honors the International Day of Forests 2025 by presenting the art exhibition ‘For a Forest.’ Curated by archaeologist and art historian Irida Kretikou, this group art exhibition features renowned Greek artists. The event is part of Nova’s Corporate Responsibility initiatives. The opening ceremony on March 19 was attended by Stathis Stathopoulos, General Secretary of Forests at YPEN, and Evangelos Gkountoufas, General Director of Forests and Forestry Environment at YPEN. Nova has focused its Corporate Responsibility efforts on environmental restoration after major disasters and protecting the environment through technology. Notable projects in 2024 included reforestation of Mount Penteli and large-scale restoration work in Dadia Evros National Park and Rhodes Island. Additionally, Nova is developing the ICT ‘Smart Forest Rhodes’ project, an intelligent fire prevention and management system for Rhodes, set to be delivered in summer 2025. The exhibition features works by artists such as Katia Varvaki, Kiki Voulgareli, and Manos Batzolis. Through this initiative, Nova aims to highlight sustainability via cultural expression, exploring the dynamic interaction between art and nature while encouraging collective responsibility for environmental protection. The exhibition runs until May 18, 2025, at Nova’s headquarters in Athens, with free public access on selected dates.
