By the end of September, Norse Atlantic Airways will operate its new flight route between Athens (ATH) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with the first flight scheduled for June 3, 2025. Specifically, the 13.5-hour flight will run four times a week using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Ticket prices start at €259, offering both economy and premium cabin options. If demand increases significantly, there are plans to extend flights year-round. Bjørn Tore Larsen, Norse Atlantic’s CEO and founder, emphasized their commitment to maintaining a permanent presence in Greece. Since launching this transatlantic route on May 9, 2025, the airline has seen tremendous response. According to data from Athens International Airport, over 100,000 passengers traveled from Los Angeles to Athens in 2024. Norse Atlantic employs more than 1,000 people in Greece and aims to further expand its workforce. The company believes that Athens is an excellent choice for business growth and contributes positively to the local tourism industry.
