No to Zoi Konstantopoulou’s Pre-Investigation Meeting from PASOK, SYRIZA, and New Left

The initiative by Zoi Konstantopoulou, leader of the Freedom Voyage party, to communicate with the leaders of all progressive parties in order to request a meeting to determine their stance on the pre-investigation committee has only received rejections. Since the indictment regarding the Tempi scandal reached Parliament, Konstantopoulou expressed that it would be beneficial for all party leaders who co-signed the motion of no confidence to meet and define their position against the pre-investigation. She proposed May 5th as the meeting date. However, Socrates Famellos from SYRIZA expressed clear reservations about the meeting, stating there was no basis for discussion with Konstantopoulou. Alexis Haritsis from New Left mentioned his party hadn’t reviewed the full indictment yet, making any meeting premature. No response came from Dimitris Koutsoumbas, while Nikos Androulakis declined via message. Despite this, Konstantopoulou plans to reach out again, including Greek Solution and Niki, excluding only the Spartans. Meanwhile, SYRIZA’s Political Secretariat met and emphasized the need for thorough investigation, warning against repeating past cover-ups like the Triantopoulos case. They demanded extended temporal research into previous governments and vowed not to compromise accusations against Karamanlis or the Mitsotakis era.
