Nikos Pappas: I View the 13-0 Case as My Badge – It Was a Terrible ‘Give and Take’

Nikos Pappas, the former Minister and current SYRIZA MP, no longer feels troubled when referred to as the symbol of the infamous “13-0” case. Speaking on the ONE TV show “EDO*” with Stamaty Zacharou on April 1, 2025, Pappas admitted that while the situation surrounding the case was once stressful, he now views it differently. He stated, “I consider this story my badge,” emphasizing how Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis publicly highlighted the case but did not engage in direct confrontation with him. When questioned if PASOK agrees with the “13-0” verdict, Pappas replied succinctly, “Let PASOK be judged too.” He added, “I am speaking from the heart—I view this case as my badge despite the judicial condemnation. Not a single witness testified against me, yet Judge Klapa issued the ruling. This case was an unfortunate example of ‘give and take.’
