Always present.’ Andreas Papandreou, who succumbed to a severe ischemic episode at the age of 77 in Ekali, left an indelible mark on Greek society as one of the most influential political leaders in post-war Greece. The funeral three days later was nationwide. Despite the passing of time, his children and many others who lived through his political journey have not forgotten him.
