Nikos Papadopoulos: Nikitas Kaklamanis Halves Salary of Vandalous MP

The President of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, has imposed a penalty on MP Nikos Papadopoulos from the ‘Victory’ party for his vandalism at the National Gallery. The punishment, decided unanimously by the Plenary, involves cutting Papadopoulos’s salary in half for one month as per the updated Code of Parliamentary Conduct. This action comes after allegations of anti-parliamentary behavior. Kaklamanis also announced that similar disciplinary measures would have been taken against Independent MP Dimitris Kyriazidis had he not apologized during the Plenary session for remarks made towards Zoi Konstantopoulou, President of the Sail of Freedom.
