Nikos Androulakis: The Motion of No Confidence Against the Government is a Social Demand

On Wednesday, March 4, 2025, as announced by Nikos Androulakis from the podium of the Plenary Session of Parliament, a motion of no confidence against the government of New Democracy will be submitted. This motion will be co-signed by SYRIZA and New Left and supported by the Liberty Row party. During discussions about establishing a Pre-Investigation Committee regarding the government’s misconduct in the Tempi tragedy, Androulakis emphasized that public mass gatherings signify the demand for transparency and justice over concealment and impunity. He criticized the government’s handling of the scandal involving embezzlement and its response to the Tempi tragedy, accusing them of shielding their own members from accountability. Androulakis stressed that citizens seek a functional state upholding rights and safety rather than one serving personal interests. He condemned the Prime Minister’s delayed promises on railway safety improvements and highlighted the lack of trust caused by the government’s actions.
