Nikos Androulakis at SEV: Proposes Permanent ‘Made in Greece’ Ministry and Angel Visa

in

At the General Assembly, Nikos Androulakis, leader of the official opposition and president of PASOK, presented detailed proposals to boost entrepreneurship, industry, and productivity. He highlighted the uncertainties in the global economy, exacerbated by conflicts in the Middle East, and stressed the need for Greece to strengthen its national power through economic measures, institutions, defense, social state, and demographics. Criticizing the current government’s development policy, he pointed out the lack of adequate support for industry, weak institutions, and insufficient incentives for investment and technology. To address these challenges, Androulakis proposed the establishment of a permanent ‘Made in Greece’ ministry, functioning as a one-stop shop with transparent processes. Additionally, he suggested replacing the Golden Visa with an ‘Angel Visa,’ encouraging investments in research, innovation, and startups rather than real estate. The plan also includes reducing non-wage labor costs, strengthening competition committees, and creating a Unified Consumer Authority. Furthermore, Androulakis emphasized modern labor relations, strategic industrial zoning, and upgrading the justice system to ensure reliable investments.
