The Mexican Navy reported that 22 individuals were injured, three of them critically, all occurring onboard the vessel. According to CNN, there were 277 people on board during an educational mission. Footage shows crew members dressed in white naval uniforms clinging to the rigging while bystanders at the base of the bridge scramble to move out of the way. The historic Brooklyn Bridge, which connects Brooklyn and Manhattan, was completed in 1883 and remains a popular tourist attraction.
