New Peramos: Man Found Dead in Ravine, Bound and Shot

A 27-year-old man was found dead in a ravine in New Peramos on Sunday, February 1, 2026. He had been shot at least twice and was bound with handcuffs. Authorities believe the killing followed a kidnapping that occurred the previous week—on Monday, January 26, 2026—outside his home in Eleusis. His partner reported him missing and stated surveillance footage showed four armed men abducting him into a stolen vehicle. Originally from Crete and with no criminal record, the victim’s identification was difficult due to advanced decomposition. Two shell casings were recovered at the scene. Police are investigating possible motives, including ransom or settling scores.
