New Mexico: Three Dead, 15 Injured in Shooting at Car Show

Three young individuals lost their lives and another 15 were injured on Friday evening (March 21, 2025) in Las Cruces. According to Chief of Police, Jeremiah Story, the incident took place during a large-scale car show at a park attended by approximately 200 people. He described it as a ‘giant crime scene’ where two rival groups clashed, leading to gunfire. About sixty shell casings were found at the site. The victims include two 19-year-olds and a 16-year-old teenager. The wounded range in age from 16 to 36 years old. Authorities have yet to make any arrests. Mayor Eric Enriquez urged the community to unite and remain strong while dealing with this tragic event.
