New Evidence in the Death of Jin Haqman: Small Gas Leak Found in Kitchen

New details have emerged in the case of the deaths of Oscar-winning actor Jin Haqman and his wife, Betsey Arakawa. The investigation into their mysterious deaths has taken a thrilling turn as local gas company inspections reveal new clues. The shocking discovery of the couple’s remains inside their Santa Fe, New Mexico home has left investigators puzzled about the exact circumstances of their demise. Following an inspection by the gas company, a small gas leak was found on one of the kitchen burners. However, it is not believed to have contributed to their deaths. The gas company reported five ‘red’ indicators, with the first being a minor gas leak (0.33%—not lethal). The other four indicators did not involve gas leaks or carbon monoxide. Authorities believe the couple, whose bodies were in advanced stages of decomposition when found, likely died weeks before being discovered. Their daughter, Elizabeth Jin, had previously suspected death by carbon monoxide poisoning or toxic fumes. Despite this, authorities investigating the deaths have stated that death from carbon monoxide leakage is unlikely. While the exact cause of death for Jin Haqman and Betsey Arakawa remains unclear, the police mistakenly recorded that their German Shepherd also died, but in reality, it was Zina, their 12-year-old Australian Kelpie. Although evidence points to suspicious conditions, officials have clarified there are no indications of criminal activity. Authorities continue to reconstruct the timeline of the couple’s deaths, with initial estimates suggesting they may have been deceased for over a week before being found. Results from the autopsy and toxicology reports are expected in the coming weeks, which could provide more answers. A medical examiner, who is not handling the case, has ruled out the possibility of a double suicide.
