NATO: We are worried about Afghanistan – We will support the government

He promises a diplomatic presence in Kabul ahead of the Taliban offensive

NATO will support the Afghan government as much as possible and “adjust” its diplomatic presence, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg announced today.

Jens Stoltenberg added that NATO remains committed to supporting a political solution to the conflict.

“Our goal is to support the Afghan government and security forces as much as possible. The safety of our staff is paramount.

“NATO will maintain our diplomatic presence in Kabul and will continue to adjust as required,” he said.
