The National Electronic Health Record (EHR), a modern tool aimed at upgrading healthcare in the country, has been implemented by COSMOTE TELEKOM in collaboration with Byte A.B.E.E. This project is part of the digital transformation program for the healthcare system and is carried out by E-Dika (Electronic Governance Social Insurance) on behalf of the Ministry of Digital Governance for the Ministry of Health, within the framework of the Recovery Fund. It represents the new digital platform of the National Health System, allowing citizens easy access to their medical history and providing doctors with aggregated patient clinical data. For the first time, the platform consolidates health profile information from all public and private healthcare units and levels. Citizens can access the EHR through the myHealth app, available on mobile or computer, while doctors use myHealthDoc, soon to be available on mobile as well. The Minister of Health, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, stated that the launch of the National Electronic Health Record marks a historic moment in the digital reform of the Greek healthcare system, aiming for transparency, accessibility, and a people-centered approach. Meanwhile, the Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, emphasized the importance of the EHR as a crucial step towards full digital transformation in healthcare, improving both citizen access to health information and medical evaluations. The Director General of E-Dika AE, Ms. Niki Tzouma, noted that each new digital application brings the strategic goal of quality, accessible, and human-centered health services closer. The President and CEO of OTE Group, Mr. Kostas Nemesis, highlighted the strategic significance of the EHR in bringing technology to the heart of the healthcare system. Future phases will include additional functionalities and data related to hospital care, oncology protocols, disability, dialysis, radiotherapy, high-cost drug dispensing, and more. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
