NASA+ Coming to Netflix with Live Rocket Launches and Space Travel Footage

The NASA+ streaming service is set to bring live coverage of rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, and real-time footage from the International Space Station directly to Netflix this summer. This collaboration aims to reach the broadest possible audience, expanding NASA’s global outreach to over 700 million viewers through Netflix’s popular platform. NASA+ will remain freely accessible via the agency’s official website and app, while also offering exclusive livestream content on Netflix. Rebecca Shirmunski, NASA+’s general manager, emphasized that this move aligns with the 1958 Space Act, which mandates sharing the story of space exploration with the public. The partnership supports NASA’s Artemis program, including future Moon missions like Artemis II in April 2026 and Artemis III planned for landing on the Moon by mid-2027.
