Greek authorities have arrested five individuals on the island of Mykonos as part of an ongoing operation targeting a drug trafficking network. The operation, led by the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (DAOE), began early Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
Drugs Seized, Network Disrupted
So far, law enforcement has confiscated significant quantities of narcotics, including cocaine, ketamine, methamphetamine, ecstasy tablets, and raw cannabis.
Ringleader and Associates Taken Into Custody
According to official reports, the alleged leader of the network is an Albanian national operating through a transport company based on the island. His Romanian-born wife was also arrested. Two van drivers employed by the same transport firm, along with another individual described as a close associate of the suspected ringleader, were detained as well.
Additional Seizure in Athens
Authorities also discovered a stash of drugs at the Athens residence of the wife of one of the arrested individuals — a man who reportedly spent every weekend on Mykonos.
