secretary of the Association of Physically Disabled and Paraplegic Ilia, George Παπανικολόπουλος, who had a meeting with mr Λιατσή in the office of the Latsio, accompanied, by the treasurer of the Association, Yiannis Petropoulos. The two members of the Association, in the following, we are located on the 1st floor of Λάτσειου Municipal Hall, where you will serve, and will record the problems of the Disabled in the area of the Tower.
Yesterday morning, the mayor, Gavrilis Λιατσής, in a statement, pointed out that the aim of the municipal authority, is to secure the best possible conditions for people with mobility problems featuring, however the whole process “extremely difficult” because, as mentioned, often people with mobility problems are at the “margin” of the local society.
“From the first day that I became Mayor in my new term, my purpose was to ensure the best possible conditions for our fellow citizens who have problems and are considered to be disabled. It is an extremely difficult process, one that has nothing to do with the problem you are facing, he can’t serve or share to the extent that we have,” noted mr. Λιατσής.
Also, the mayor stressed, that in the faces of the two members of the Association of Physically Disabled and Paraplegic Ilia, George Παπανικολόπουλου and Yiannis Petropoulos, found two very good partners, and the relationship between them “is based on a particular ideology that has nothing to do with the offer to the fellow men”.
“Our Municipality has 47 community apartments. I believe that there are people from villages who have come and those in the Tower to receive any positive development that has nothing to do with their lives and I believe that John Petropoulos, who constantly is next to him and is his friend, and he is a man with a willingness to offer him help in order to slowly have the ability to respond in this position I give him. You are aided by some official board of which we find together along the way and will be exhausted all the possibilities of the Municipality in this direction,” concluded mr Λιατσής.
From the side of the new honorary councillor responsible for issues of the Disabled of the municipality of Pyrgos, George Παπανικολόπουλος, thanked mr Λιατσή for the tasks assigned to him and stressed that both he and the treasurer of the Association, Yiannis Petropoulos, will be located daily in their new office in the Latsio (1st floor) in order to offer their services to the citizens who need it.
