Munich: Shots fired outside the consulate of Israel

Alarm has meant in Munich as according to what the German media broadcast gunshots fell outside the consulate of Israel. According to international media a man opened fire in downtown Munich, near the Documentation Centre for the Nazi period and the consulate of Israel. According to Süddeutsche Zeitung, the police shot him and neutralized him. As the newspaper reports, many shootings were heard in the area, while police called on civilians to avoid the center. The incident coincides with today’s anniversary of the Palestinian attack on Israeli athletes in the Olympic Village during the 1972 Olympic Games.
