A motorcycle accident occurred in Patras on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, after the rider was stung by a wasp. According to patrapress, the motorcyclist was traveling from Ovria toward Patras when the incident took place.
Despite the sting, he continued riding — but shortly afterward, while on Euboeas Street near the Glafkos River, he suddenly felt unwell. His motorcycle veered off course and collided with a car.
Witnesses quoted by patrapress.gr said the rider likely suffered hypotension as a result of the wasp sting. He sustained friction burns after falling onto the asphalt.
A motorcycle-based EKAB (National Center for Emergency Care) rescuer arrived first on the scene and administered initial medical assistance. The injured rider was then transferred by ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.
