More than 2,300 in the gaps in special education and the parallel support

We are already 4 months after the start of the course and unfortunately there are ΣΜΕΑΕ and ΚΕΔΔΥ that are malfunctioning, parts integration that don’t work and it still leaves unmet hundreds of requests for parallel support.
Based on the data of the competent services of the ministry of Education over 300 is in the gaps of teachers in special education and over 2,000 in the parallel support.
This situation cannot continue.
Enough with the promises and hot air. Should immediately make every effort to safeguard the necessary appropriations for hiring substitutes to cover all the gaps, so as not to lose another precious time for thousands of students.
At the same time there should be planning, so the school year 2017-2018 staffing in all of the structures of special education is not an issue.
There is an urgent need to give priority to the upgrading of special education. It goes without saying, that any attempt to upgrade should be combined with permanent appointments of teachers to the end of the hostage thousands of deputies who are working 5, 10, 15 years in special education.
