Investigations by the police into bribery at land registry offices are ongoing. Operations by the Greek Police will expand to similar networks in Thessaloniki. According to Christina Kora and MEGA’s Live News with Nikos Evangelatos, when current Deputy Minister of Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis, was at the Ministry of Digital Governance in the National Land Registry, the government received specific complaints from property owners about land registry offices demanding bribes ranging from €300 to €5,000. The victims filed anonymous complaints, informing the Internal Affairs Division of the Hellenic Police. Advanced digital tools were fully utilized, exposing those accused. So far, six land registry employees and three individuals have been arrested.
