Monumenta: a photo competition for buildings at risk

“Monumenta”.
The aim of the competition, which is organized in the framework of the celebration of ten years of action of “Monumenta”, is to gather data on buildings of the 19th and 20th century at risk, to highlight the problem of wear and tear and depreciation of the architectural heritage and to highlight the need for protection.
The contest with the theme “Buildings at risk in Greece,” will last until 16 October 2016. The participants are invited to photograph buildings each year, deteriorated, dilapidated inhabited or abandoned, in cities, villages or in the countryside, and which have been built from 1830 to 1970. Each contestant may submit up to five photos of a building (two general, two with the details and a free theme) in jpg format to the email address monumentaphoto@gmail.com
Will be awarded three awards and seven commendations, which will be accompanied with gifts of books. All of the projects to be included in a version of the same theme that will be released from the “Monumenta” and will be presented in a photo exhibition.
