Monopoly Movie: John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein Sign On to Write the Script

The Lionsgate and LuckyChap production of ‘Monopoly’ is gaining momentum as one of Hollywood’s most popular writing duos has come on board. According to Deadline, Lionsgate has reached an agreement with John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein to write the screenplay for the film based on the iconic board game. Erin Westerman, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, stated, “We knew that LuckyChap would be a beacon for the best talent in town with Lionsgate & Hasbro excited that Goldstein and Daley decided to participate in the process.” She added, “We’ve long admired their work – they tell bold, original, smart stories for all audiences. They are the perfect architects for this franchise.” Monopoly is the world’s most popular board game. Since 1935, it has captured the hearts of young and old alike in over 100 countries, with sales exceeding half a billion copies.
