Only 2 months remain until the entrance exams for students to enter preparatory classes (1st Grade of Junior High School/1st Grade of Senior High School) at Model Schools. The Ministry of Education has provided further information regarding the examination process for candidates. On Saturday, May 3, 2025, entrance exams will take place for students entering the 1st Grade of Junior High School and 1st Grade of Senior High School at Model Schools. One day earlier, on Friday, May 2, 2025, a public electronic lottery will be held to determine student admission and priority ranking in cases of tied scores for entry into Model Schools and Model Ecclesiastical Schools. In the case of connected Model Schools, graduates of the Model Junior High School are automatically enrolled in the connected Model Senior High School, provided they have successfully completed their Junior High School studies. If there are vacant spots in the 1st Grade of connected Senior High Schools, these will be filled through a skills test. For non-connected Model Senior High Schools, all spots in the 1st Grade will be filled through exams (skills tests). Candidates will be evaluated in three subjects: language, mathematics (in common questions with applicants for Model Schools during simultaneous exams), and religious studies. The evaluation questions are multiple-choice. Interested students may apply for one or more types of the aforementioned schools. Parents and guardians will be invited via an official invitation posted on the websites of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports, as well as the Governing Committee of Model and Experimental Schools (GCMEP), to submit an electronic application along with necessary documentation through a dedicated platform.
