Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the recent arson attack against three New Democracy (ND) party officials in Thessaloniki during the launch event of iKO — the party’s new digital platform for organizing and informing its parliamentary group.
Condemnation and immediate response
Speaking before ND MPs, Mitsotakis expressed his shock and anger over the ‘cowardly, murderous attack’. He extended his thoughts to the victims — Zisis Ioakeimovits, Savvas, and especially Aphrodite, whose mother is fighting for her life in hospital.
‘I will depart immediately for Thessaloniki to stand by the injured and send a clear message,’ Mitsotakis said. ‘Zero tolerance for any form of new terrorism: We will find you — and bring you to justice.’
Prior coordination
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister spoke by phone with Zisis Ioakeimovits, the head of ND’s executive committee.
