On Monday, 13 July 2026, a summit of countries supporting Ukraine is taking place in Paris, convened at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron. Representatives from 37 nations are attending, including Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, alongside European and other international leaders.
Zelenskyy and Key Leaders Present
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also in the French capital for the event. The summit brings together more than 25 heads of state and government, as well as the leaders of the European Union and NATO. Discussions are hosted at the historic Hôtel des Invalides in central Paris and will conclude with an official dinner hosted by President Macron at the Élysée Palace.
Key Agenda Items
The talks focus on strengthening Ukraine’s military capabilities — especially its air defence — imposing new European sanctions on Russia, and shaping a long-term security framework that could underpin future peace efforts. Leaders are also exploring deeper cooperation in anti-air and anti-ballistic missile defence, as well as the potential for co-producing weapons systems within Ukraine through international collaboration.
According to French diplomatic sources, the atmosphere among allies appears more positive than in recent months. There are also indications that former U.S. President Donald Trump has shown greater willingness to support Kyiv, as reflected in recent G7 and NATO meetings.
Bastille Day Participation
Tuesday, 14 July — France’s national holiday — marks the Bastille Day military parade, which Mitsotakis will attend. Around 500 troops from coalition countries supporting Ukraine will take part, sending a strong message of unity and shared resolve in response to the war.
