Mitsotakis at NATO Summit: Greece Plans Over €25 Billion Defense Spending in 20 Years

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking at the NATO Summit, welcomed the ceasefire brokered by President Trump between Iran and Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean. ‘As a country in this region, we support peace efforts,’ Mitsotakis stated. However, he emphasized that lasting solutions can only be achieved through active diplomacy. Greece is planning significant defense investments over the next two decades, aiming to spend over €25 billion to bolster its security capabilities.
