Minimum wage – Hatzidakis: The government will decide at the end of July

GSEE proposes raising the minimum wage to 751 euros this year and then to 809 euros, which corresponds to 60% of the OECD median wage

According to the procedure, the labor minister will propose the amount of the new minimum wage to the cabinet at the end of July.

BSE leaves little room for a small increase as has happened in the other EU Member Countries with the aim of elevating market psychology.

Some members of the panel of experts suggested increases in the minimum wage to 4% n (even 5%) noting that an increase would send a positive message to restart the economy and strengthen market psychology.
