Milwaukee: Dramatic Baby Rescue from Burning Apartment

A dramatic rescue was captured on camera as neighbors helped save an infant from a burning apartment in Milwaukee, USA. The baby, in a carrier, was safely lowered from a window amid heavy smoke pouring from the fire-affected unit. According to wmtv15news.com, Anthony Medina and other residents rushed to help early on February 1st to save the infant from the blazing building. “It was terrifying,” said Medina, adding, “Since firefighters didn’t arrive immediately, we tried to save the baby’s life—lowering it with a blanket to get it to safety.” Milwaukee Fire Department crews responded swiftly, using ladders to evacuate residents. Six people, aged 30 to 56, were hospitalized for injuries. Milwaukee Police are investigating the fire as arson. Firefighters confirmed the apartment building lacked fire suppression systems and is now deemed uninhabitable, with its main entrance sealed.
