Another tense night unfolded across the Middle East as hostilities escalated. Shortly after midnight, Israel carried out a new wave of airstrikes on Tehran — striking the Iranian capital’s Mehrabad International Airport, which was reportedly engulfed in flames.
In response, Iran launched attacks targeting oil facilities and an airport in Iraq. Explosions were also reported in Dubai and Manama.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) prompted the United States to order its Navy to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.
This latest escalation marks a significant intensification in regional tensions, with direct strikes on Tehran — a rare occurrence — underscoring the rapidly deteriorating security situation.
