The message that he has not said his “last word” sent Benjamin Netanyahu after her reprisals that launched a brutal hammering in the country with 320 missiles. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Hezbollah today, Sunday (25.08.24) that “this is not the end of the story”. “Three weeks ago we took out the commander of Hezbollah and today we prevented her aggressive plans,” Netanyahu stressed at the beginning of the cabinet. According to the Israeli Prime Minister, anti-aircraft defence intercepted all drones and rockets launched by Hezbollah against Israel. At the same time, Netanyahu said Hezbollah and Iran should know that the “answer” Israel gave was “another step towards changing the situation in the north and the safe return of our inhabitants to their homes”. Israel announced that it prevented a large-scale Hezbollah attack by unleashing multiple blows on Lebanon. However, Hezbollah pointed out that she managed to launch hundreds of drones and rockets against Israeli positions in retaliation for the death of his army arm executive Fuad Sukr in an Israeli blow in a suburb of Beirut on 30 July. At the same time, Hezbollah official said retaliation to Israel was delayed for “political reasons” and mainly due to ongoing talks on a truce agreement in the Gaza Strip and the liberation of Israeli hostages. The official, in written statements he distributed to the press, pointed out that Hezbollah “worked” to ensure that her response to the murder of Fouad Sukr on July 30 will not cause a large-scale war. Meanwhile, the leader of Hezbollah will address today at 18:00 local time (and Greek time). Hassan Nasrala’s speech will concern “the latest developments”, Hezbollah clarified in her announcement.
